How to Prepare a Print-Ready PDF
A short checklist that prevents the most common print delays: bleed, colour, resolution and fonts.
Most print delays trace back to four issues. Fix them before sending artwork and your job runs on schedule.
Bleed: extend background elements 3 mm beyond the trim edge so no white slivers appear after cutting. Keep text and logos at least 3–4 mm inside the trim so nothing important is lost to tolerance.
Resolution: use 300 DPI at final size for photos. Images that look fine on screen at 72 DPI will print soft and pixelated.
Colour: for offset-quality work, CMYK is the standard language of print. RGB screen colours can shift — most vivid neon screen colours do not exist in CMYK ink.
Fonts: outline or embed fonts so nothing substitutes on our system. Finally, export as PDF (not JPG), name the file clearly with quantity and size, and include both sides as separate pages when printing duplex.
If you would rather skip the technical work, send your design files or even a rough sketch to our design team — we prepare print-ready artwork and share a proof before production.
Share item, quantity and deadline — we reply with options and pricing.
